Zambian police announce the discovery of the bodies of 27 Ethiopians

LUSAKA, Zambia — The bodies of 27 men believed to be Ethiopian nationals were discovered in the Zambian capital on Sunday, police confirmed.
Police investigations indicate that the bodies “all males between the ages of 20 and 38 were dumped (…) in Ngwerere neighborhood (in Lusaka) by unknown persons”, said Danny Mwale, deputy public relations officer of police, in a statement.
“They are all believed to be Ethiopian nationals,” Mwale said.
A man was still alive and was rushed to hospital for treatment, he said.
The 27 bodies were taken to the University Hospital morgue for formal identification and autopsy, he said.
Police and other security services are investigating, Mwale said.
