TikToker and makeup lover Taylor Efford has a lot to say about cosmetics.
She begins her video by saying, “[These are] makeup mistakes you need to stop making.”
Her first piece of advice is to use the “wiggle mascara” hack.
She jokes, “If I see one more personapply their mascara without making a zigzag motion, I’m going to cry.

“And the reason you want to swirl it around is that it will help cover the tops of the lashes.
“So when you look down and your crush is reading over your shoulder, it’s not a “no mascara” line of mascara. Just stir it around to coat the top! »
After that, she talks about brows and contouring.
“If you gel your brows before you leave the house, you’ll feel 100% better.
“Stop putting your contour or bronzer low on your face. Keep it high if you want to look plumper, juicier, and youthful.
“Lift. Everything should lift. Speaking of your bronzer, be sure to wear it on your nose,” she advises.
The other places she indicates for bronzer are the top of the forehead and the chin.
Another trick from Taylor is to add a touch of blush to the middle of your forehead.

She says, “It can be really cute. It looks like a sunburn. So if you do it in a nice W shape you will get a nice sunny look.
After that, Taylor stresses the importance of makeup hygiene.
“Please wash your makeup brush once a week. I know it’s hard. I know it’s not fun.
“But my recommendation is to play a really good podcast that you’ve been waiting to listen to and it’s like therapy.

“You’ll get more bacteria off your face. If you’re like me and dealing with breakouts, that’s key.
“Clean your eyebrow brush. I clean mine once a week. If you don’t, you’ll get gunk on your eyebrows.
“It’ll look bigger the wrong way, not the right way. Just wash them. They’re totally reusable,” she explains.
Taylor covers terrible makeup combinations as her next tip.

She says, “Stop mixing oil-based foundation with water-based primer.
“They don’t like each other. Oil and water hate each other! They’re going to hate each other to their faces…and you don’t want that.”
Anyone struggling with dark circles under their eyes will likely be interested in Taylor’s next tip,
She says, “If you’re worried about dark circles, get an under-eye concealer with a little peach tone that will help undo some of that purple.”

Finally, Taylor explains how and where to use a basic highlighter palette.
She suggests making an exclamation point shape on the front of your nose with your highlighter as a simple outline shape.
