Safety concerns increase after two lorries get stuck in parking lot on Howell Road
ATLANTA — Questions are being raised about the safety and overall integrity of a commercial and residential parking lot in northwest Atlanta.
It comes after two lorries got stuck in the bridge next to Howell Mill Road.
According to witnesses, the most recent truck got stuck a few weeks ago.
“He’s been there for about three weeks,” said Taylor Jones, who works at one of the resort’s stores.
A Walmart delivery truck has been stuck in the parking lot for almost four months.
“I would have thought it happened today,” said client Anchana Dominick Channel 2’s Elizabeth Rawlins.

Atlanta Fire Department investigators told Rawlins they were unaware the scene still looked like it did when they first responded to the parking lot in March.
They also said they had no idea it was currently operating around not one but two trucks stuck in a potentially compromised structure.
“We could all fall and it will eventually,” Jones said.
“It feels like something that should have been taken care of a while ago,” Dominick said.
Rawlins said she was waiting for a response from the Atlanta Fire Department regarding her questions about safety issues on the parking deck.
