Executive producer Saladin Patterson confirmed that production on the ABC revival is progressing after the director was fired for alleged “inappropriate conduct” on set. “It was very heartbreaking, but I have to trust the process,” Patterson said. People May 15. “Disney is doing a really good job of making sure everyone is treated fairly, and we’re just going to focus on the future and put on a great show.”
Patterson added, “It’s bigger than anybody. It’s bigger than me. So the show will continue, and the show will continue to be awesome.”
On May 7, a spokesperson for 20th Century Television confirmed to E! News that Savage was fired from the show after multiple spokesperson complaints of misconduct were investigated, adding, “Upon completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as executive producer and director of The good years.”
