Despite a late wave of interest from a number of Premier League teams, Wolves duo Ruben Neves and Adama Traore appear set to stay at the club, with no offers received for the pair.

Portugal international Neves and Spain resident Traore have both been linked with surges in the Premier League in recent years.

Traore has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, which is handled by his former Wolves boss

Speculation about their future has only grown over the past few days with Wolves at the bottom of the league with zero points.

Former Spurs boss and new manager Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly keen to bring the pair with him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, despite the holding of talks for Traore, both players now seem likely to stay.

Wolves have pushed back the advances of new Spurs football manager Fabio Paratici for Traore, while any move for Neves seems complicated.

Tottenham were hoping to shift a record £ 55million by signing Tanguy Ndombele before the window closed, but with no contender for the French midfielder, no space has opened up for Neves.

Spurs set to give up signing of Ndombele record

Rumors suggest Manchester United are also interested in 24-year-old midfielder Neves, but Wolves are unlikely to approve a deal without bringing in Lille’s Renato Sanches first.

That deal now appears to have collapsed, with the news that negotiations between Lille and Wolves over a loan for the midfielder have ended.

Spurs have had a busy summer so far, bringing in Bryan Gil, Cristian Romero, Pierluigi Gollini and Pope Sarr, while managing to retain England captain Harry Kane.

Lautaro Martinez appeared close to Spurs before teammate Lukaku left Inter

The north London club are said to have had talks with a number of top strikers, namely Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, but with both moves coming to fruition, Spurs business could be completed.

Not that it will weaken the morale of Spurs fans, who have had a brilliant start to the season as Tottenham top the Premier League table as the only team to have a 100% record after three games.

Wolves, meanwhile, replaced goalkeeper Rui Patrico with Jose Sa, while they also signed two top loan signings in the form of Francisco Trincao from Barcelona and Hwang Hee-chan from Leipzig.
