Meghan Markle’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast is set to return to Spotify with new episodes on October 4, following a four-week hiatus following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, and a royal expert takes a look at what royal watchers will be watching for Markle’s next guests.

The new episodes will feature Lisa Ling, Margaret Cho, Constance Wu, Issa Rae, Ziwe Fumudoh, Amanda Seales, Allison Yarrow, and Robin Thede.

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, had released three episodes of ‘Archetypes’ before she suspended the podcast out of respect for the Queen’s passing. She previously hosted guests Serena Williams, Mariah Carey and Mindy Kaling.

Kinsey Schofield, royal expert and host of the ‘To Di For Daily’ podcast, told Fox News Digital that ‘royal watchers are curious to see if comedian Amanda Seales addresses a previous statement [that] she spoke of the Duchess.

She continued, “Amanda reportedly said, ‘Meghan should have done more research before joining the Royal Family.'”

“While this is true, Meghan generally distances herself from anyone who criticizes her even remotely,” Schofield added.

Schofield went on to say, “There are names I was genuinely surprised not to find on Meghan Markle’s podcast: Kamala Harris, Reese Witherspoon, Britney Spears (talk about SILENT or SILENCED) and Gloria Steinem for n to name a few.”

She noted, “I’m curious about the number of comedians featured on the podcast, but maybe it’s their way of trying to keep the content lighter.”

A statement posted on the podcast’s page on Spotify’s website confirmed that new episodes of “Archetypes” would be put on hiatus during the British monarch’s official mourning period, which ended on Tuesday.

In a teaser released ahead of the premiere of “Archtypes,” Markle said the podcast will “investigate labels that are trying to retain women.”

The podcast was set to explore perceptions around labels such as “Old Maid”, “Dragon Lady”, “Bimbo”, “Crazy”, “Angry Black Woman”, “B—h” and “Slut”.

After its release, “Archetypes” reached number one on Spotify’s international charts in seven countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The podcast marks Markle’s first major project since she and her husband, Prince Harry, made the decision to retire from the royal family and move to the United States in 2020. The podcast is produced by Archewell Audio du couple and Spotify’s Gimlet Media.
