White Lotus’ Murray Bartlett Wants Armond Origin Story

We certainly wouldn’t refuse that.

Murray Bartlett can be critically acclaimed for its recent appearance on The last of usbut the actor isn’t quite ready to transition from The White Lotus. In fact, although his character Armond met his end in the Pineapple Sequel during the first season, Bartlett is set to return. And he knows exactly how to do it.

“When we were shooting white lotusthe day before we started filming, we had this big dinner,” Looking at the actor explained about The Late Show with Stephen Colbert January 30, “and Mike Whitethe creator, writer, director, extraordinaire of white lotusgave a speech and said, jokingly, whoever was the nicest person and the best actor got a spinoff series.”

Bartlett continued: “He said – and I’m not going to hold it back – but he said, ‘We can always go back in time. “So I think maybe like an Armond origin story? I’m just throwing that out there.”

The 51-year-old won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for his work on the first season of the hit show. Meanwhile, her co-star and co-winner Jennifer Coolidge ended up reprising her role as Tanya in the second season.
