The Carabao Cup will reach its climax next month with English football’s first grand final of the season.
The competition gives teams the chance to claim the first available silverware of the campaign.
Liverpool are the current holders of the trophy after beating Chelsea on penalties in February 2022 to end Manchester City’s run of four successive EFL Cups.
However, the Reds will not have the chance to defend their crown, having suffered a knockout round against Pep Guardiola’s City.
But City won’t be there either after a shocking 2-0 loss to Southampton at St Mary’s in the quarter-finals.
As this year’s edition draws to a close as we reach the semi-final stage, teams will now be vying for a place at Wembley.
When is the Carabao Cup final?
The 2022/23 Carabao Cup final will be played Sunday February 26.
It will be held at Wembley Stadium with the kick-off time yet to be confirmed, although last season’s final started at 4.30pm.
Full coverage will be live on talkSPORT. More details to follow soon.
