Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak cracks weird joke after contestant catches straws on bonus puzzle
WHEEL of Fortune’s Pat Sajak didn’t put a positive spin on contestant Jimmy’s bonus riddle during Friday’s episode.
The two-word solution was “Informal Gathering” and Jimmy got stuck on “abnormal” missing the $40,000 corner.

Wheel of Fortune didn’t have much fortune in store for its three competitors.
Pat, 76, admitted mid-game: “The amounts have been quite modest so far.”
The contestants spun instead of resolved for much of the episode, fans expressed, and they kept going broke.
In the penultimate round, there were a staggering five straight misses as each contestant circled the horn without getting a single consonant.
In the end, Jimmy, a healthcare company employee and father of three from Nashville, Tennessee, had the most with $12.3,000.
When the bonus puzzle ended, Pat became a bit laid back.
Jimmy had tried to solve the bonus two-word puzzle after choosing “event” at the start of the 10-second timer.
He was looking for “informal gatherings” and with half the letters he guessed “abnormal…” and turned off

Pat rapped: “I don’t know where the abnormal comes from.”
After the puzzle revealed itself, Jimmy said, “Ah, informal!”
Pat joked, “However, I’ve been to freak gatherings.”
“He was way off target that day,” the host added critically.
One fan wrote on Twitter, “Can we get a new wheel of fortune host? Pat Sajak is ad*ck and not funny.”
Another admitted it was a low-scoring episode: “Today’s @WheelofFortune players are terrible. So much more money could have been made if they had solved and not rotated.”
That said, in Thursday’s episode, Pat showed her hand as she got to know contestant Nick.
“You play basketball, huh? Pat asked.
“I LOVE DUNK OVER COMPETITORS”
“Yeah, you know, I like to dunk,” the player replied with a laugh.
As the audience laughed, Pat said, “Me too!
“And I don’t play basketball!”
The phrase “to dunk on” can also be used to mean to criticize or make fun of someone.
Later in the match, Pat snubbed Nick with another rough jab.
After the contestant failed to solve the final puzzle, he looked downcast and let out a frustrated sigh.
Revealing he missed the bonus prize, Pat said, “I won’t shake your hand.”
A shocked viewer wrote on Twitter: “Is Pat Sajak just being arrogant or just being petty with comments at the expense of others?
Another fan posted, “Come on, Pat. Stop shading the contestant during the bonus round.”
