As usual, the final will take place on a Saturday. While most of the league schedule takes place on a Tuesday or Wednesday, the final is strategically scheduled to take place after each club’s regular season ends. They are therefore available to play on Saturday.
For the second year in a row, the final will take place in Portugal in a small schedule anomaly. Originally Istanbul was scheduled to host the final, but due to UK travel restrictions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Turkey was not an option. So the competition was moved to Portugal instead.
