Wayne Rooney’s son Kai, 13, follows in his father’s footsteps as he scores in Man Utd’s cup final win over fierce rivals City

KAI ROONEY showed he was one chip away from the old block as he took on Man Utd rivals Man City.

A 2-0 win with goals from Rooney and 13-year-old JJ Gabriel was enough to knock out the Cityzens and set up a domestic final against Arsenal.
After the match, Kai posted photos of his medal and the trophy on Instagram, along with images with his teammates celebrating the famous victory.
Rooney captioned the snaps: ‘National Cup. 2-0 win over Man City’, adding it was a ‘great performance’.
In the 2000s and 2010s, dad Wayne was famous for terrorizing rowdy neighbors at United.
His header winner who helped United win the title in the 2010-11 season is often voted as one of the Premier League’s greatest goals.
Last year, the Daily Mail revealed that Kai Rooney broke United’s U12 goalscoring record – scoring 56 times and providing 28 assists.
This included four against Liverpool, as he played in the same team with Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
Papa Wayne is Man Utd’s all-time top scorer with 253 goals in 559 games.
In 2013, Kai joined his father on the pitch for Man Utd’s title celebrations.
It was the last time the Red Devils won the Premier League.
