Watch Macron’s address claim Trump kept a dossier of juicy details about French Prez’s love life at Mar-a-Lago

Last month, US media reported that a folder titled “info re: President of France” was among the documents seized by the FBI during its Aug. 8 raid on Donald Trump’s property in Florida. The report also claimed that the former US president was obsessed and bragged about knowing the intimate details of the French leader’s love life.

French President Emmanuel Macron addressed Rolling Stone’s report last month about a file bearing his name allegedly found among documents seized from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion.

“I read a newspaper about it, as did you. If you have more information, I’d be happy to share it,” Macron told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an interview that aired this week.

“I’m not part of the FBI. I am not one of President Trump’s lawyers. I have no information on this. I won’t say it’s [unintelligible, ed.] to see this type of information. I try to be a little less paranoid every day so, I mean I’m cool, I’m here and would love to have more information but it’s not on my side,” Macron added.

Tapper did not press the French president for further details.

Last month, Rolling Stone reported that a file on Macron was found among the paperwork allegedly taken by Trump to his Florida home after leaving the White House. Citing sources on Trump’s bluster, the magazine suggested the dossier may contain details of Macron’s “naughty” personal life, including information taken from “intelligence.”

Trump has repeatedly denied that all records seized at his Mar-a-Lago estate are classified and criticized the FBI and its “illegal and unconstitutional” break-in, search and seizure operation. The Justice Department is sifting through the papers to determine whether Trump acted illegally in deleting the White House records. The former president has dismissed the investigation as yet another attempt by Joe Biden and “sleazy” Democrats to block him from running for office.

Trump and Macron enjoyed a recurring bromance during the former US president’s time in the White House, with media images of them holding hands and smiling, alternating with claims that Trump called the French leader ” wimp” and comments. by Macron suggesting that NATO was “brain dead” thanks to the then-perceived decline in US commitment to the alliance.

The relationship was punctuated by the death of the symbolic friendship tree planted by Trump and Macron at the White House. Macron promised to send a new tree to his American counterpart in 2019, but it is unclear whether he kept his commitment.
