Wales vs Fiji Predictions
Wales don’t come into this World Cup in the best form but will be well prepared for this clash and will turn things around after their August games, which included defeats against South Africa and England.
There wouldn’t be too much concern among fans, but South Africa rallied to a 52-16 win over Wales two weeks ago and could find themselves at the mercy of a strong team from Fiji.
Fiji have won four of their last five games, with victories against England, Japan, Samoa and Tonga.
Fiji’s problem here is their record against Wales, having lost 12 of their 14 games against them, including a win dating back to 2007, also in the World Cup.
Wales vs Fiji betting tips
Wales -5 – 5/6
Wales won 38-23 the last time these two sides met in November 2021.
It could be more or less the same with these top international teams using all their attacking prowess and strength.
Warren Gatland named the squad to face Fiji as the team arrived in France early.
Notably, five players are making their Rugby World Cup debuts and five more could make their first appearances in the competition as substitutes.
They will be keen to make a good impression and take their team to victory, which could give them the edge, in a fairly changed squad that has lost form in its warm-up games.
