Rescuers in Turkey and Syria continue to search for survivors after the region was hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and powerful aftershocks on Monday.
They cut a swath of destruction that stretched for hundreds of kilometers across the two countries.
But 43 hours after the quake, a three-year-old boy was rescued from the rubble of a building in Kahramanmaras, one of Turkey’s hardest-hit towns.
Arif Kaan was transferred to a hospital with his father who was rescued from the rubble earlier.
An eight-year-old boy from the same town was rescued after being trapped for 32 hours.
The death toll in both countries has exceeded 11,000 and is expected to rise further.
