VIDEO: Australian firefighters rescue horse from pit in industrial estate

Firefighters said they were “charged with the responsibility” of rescuing a horse that ended up in a “nightmare” situation in Sydney, Australia on June 20.

Shortly before 8 a.m., the animal fell into a six-foot-deep truck wash pit in a small industrial area. The rescue team was assisted by a vet and trainers from the “neighborhood”, as they devised a plan to free him.

In a Facebook post, the rescue team explained how they built a ramp using material carried in their specialist vehicles. The horse is now in stable condition.
