Urgent warning as Starburst, Skittles and Life Savers gummies recalled due to metal strand fears

MARS Wrigley has recalled several gummy candies due to the possibility of fine metal shards in the candies and bags.

The company voluntarily recalled the erasers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Skittle Gummies, Starburst Gummies and Life Saver gummies are among those recalled, CNN reports.

The recall was issued amid customer complaints, but the company said in a statement it was not aware of any illnesses or injuries caused by the metal strands.

Mars Wrigley said he doesn’t know how many bags of candy may have been affected.

“We are working closely with our retail partners to remove all potentially affected products from stores,” a Mars Wrigley Canada spokesperson said in a statement to CNN Business.
