“The Queen Unseen” method, which airs in advance of the royal’s 95th birthday on April 21, aims to “lift the mask of royalty” and expose the true lady at the rear of the “enigma,” explained the press release.
It promises to reveal the “non-public Elizabeth Windsor,” and the impression responsibility has experienced on her individual everyday living, ITV included.
The film will characteristic interviews with Anne Glenconner, who was a maid of honor at the Queen’s coronation, royal photographer Arthur Edwards, and Charles Anson, who was the monarch’s press secretary in the 1990s.
‘One girl, two personas’
It will also characteristic Christopher Warwick, a historian and official biographer to the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret. Throughout the documentary, Anson describes her “energetic perception of humor” and high regard for her grandchildren.
The footage involves rare amateur movie of the Queen and her partner, Prince Philip, at the residence of New Zealand’s then-governor basic, Willougby Norrie, exactly where the few took a limited crack from a “grueling” tour in 1953.
The footage was recorded by Norrie’s wife over Xmas and displays the royal couple enjoying the out of doors swimming pool, and Philip battling to climb on to a pool float.
