Ukraine revives theory that Putin uses stunt doubles
UKRAINE has revived a conspiracy theory that Russia is using stunt doubles to replace Vladimir Putin, and points to his changing ears as proof.
Rumors have been circulating for months about the failing health of the 69-year-old Russian president, his close ally Nicolai Patrushev reportedly replacing Vlad during his regular medical appointments.
This week, Ukraine’s new military intelligence chief, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, told Ukrainian television that Putin’s height and even ears appeared to have changed in his recent appearances.
“The image of, say, the ears, is different,” he said during an appearance on the “Groshi” channel, meaning money.
“And it’s like a fingerprint, each person’s ear image is unique. It cannot be repeated.
Budanov was also quoted by Ukrainian news outlet TSN as saying he believed the Russian president was seriously ill and was using stunt doubles to avoid public appearances.
He claimed that although very similar, Putin’s body doubles “have different habits, different mannerisms, different looks, sometimes even different heights if you look closely.”
