Ukraine war latest: Putin could launch new wave of strikes as Zelensky warns Russia has ‘no consideration’ for Christmas

Russian opposition politician accuses Putin of breaking his own law
Opposition adviser Nikita Yuferev has asked prosecutors to investigate Vladimir Putin for using the word “war”.
Putin said at a press conference yesterday: “Our goal is not to spin this flywheel of military conflict, but, on the contrary, to end this war. That’s what we strive for.
For the past 10 months, the official Russian term for the invasion of Ukraine has been “special military operation.”
In an open letter, Yuferev asked the Attorney General and the Interior Minister to “hold [Putin] responsible under the law for spreading false information about the actions of the Russian military”.
He said: “It is important for me to do this to draw attention to the contradiction and injustice of these laws which [Putin] adopts and signs but that he does not observe himself.
“I think the more we talk about it, the more people will doubt its honesty, its infallibility and the less support it will have.”
