He has held multiple world titles and boasts a fine record of 45 wins and three losses, including two at the fists of legends Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
Now Hatton will be back in the spotlight for just one night as he takes on Barrera in his hometown of Manchester.
It promises to be a festive and emotional evening for the duo and fans will be delighted.
Hatton vs Barrera: Start date and time
The eight-round exhibition bout is set to take place on Saturday July 2 and takes place at Manchester Arena.
Hatton vs Barrera is expected to start from 10pm on the night, but that will be confirmed at a later date.
