UK plans fourth vaccination for vulnerable elderly within weeks – POLITICO

The UK government will roll out a fourth vaccination for its elderly and vulnerable citizens within weeks, according to the Sunday Times.

The move comes as the UK prepares to ease all coronavirus restrictions, including the legal requirement to self-isolate after testing positive.

The “living with COVID” plan will include another booster for over-75s and immunocompromised people, the newspaper said, as many received their third vaccination six months ago last fall.

Future vaccination campaigns will run much like annual flu campaigns, aimed at these vulnerable groups – unless a more dangerous variant emerges.
