Just when you think we’ve seen it all in sports, Wednesday night’s Loyola Chicago-Duquesne college basketball game reminded us why it never will.
With 16:30 to go in the second half of the game, Loyola-Chicago had the ball near the right baseline when an Uber Eats delivery man waltzed onto the field looking for someone to claim the McDonald’s which he was holding.
An official timeout was called when the delivery man was led off the pitch, and the match announcers couldn’t believe their eyes.
“Someone came on the floor from the other side. Looking for Uber Eats delivery or something over there? They’re carrying McDonald’s. I’m not kidding,” the play-by-play announcer said.

“It has to be one of the best of all time,” added the Colors commentator.

Once the play-by-play announcer saw the Uber Eats logo on the bag, his suspicions were confirmed.
“I think that’s what’s happening! He shouted.
When broadcasters saw the video on replay, they were left shocked by what had happened.
“This guy is around. Was he going to deliver the McDonald’s to someone in the field? Can we rule that out?” laughed the color commentator.
“Maybe I’ll raise my hand. I’m a little hungry. Bring it here.”

And perhaps the funniest part of this incident: the delivery man was still looking for his fast food recipient, as he was seen walking around the arena with the bag and drink in hand .
“He is always looking! the color commentator said when cameras showed him speaking with an onlooker as he walked down a hall.

The one thing we can say about this delivery guy is that he will definitely go above and beyond to get your food to you – even if he is stopping a basketball game while walking on the court.
