Tyson Fury receives knockout warning over Mike Tyson’s effect on Francis Ngannou

Tyson Fury has been warned of the big improvements Francis Ngannou is making under the tutelage of Mike Tyson.

The former UFC heavyweight champion trained with one of boxing’s greatest legends ahead of his first fight against Fury on October 28.

Hall of Fame boxing promoter Bob Arum, who has co-promoted “The Gypsy King” since 2019, warned his biggest client to be wary of Ngannou’s punching power.

“Mike Tyson is doing a great job training and advising Francis Ngannou,” Arum tweeted Monday.

“I warned Tyson Fury to be very careful, especially of Ngannou’s incredible right hand.”

Ngannou is MMA’s biggest puncher and has a string of vicious knockouts – but he has never boxed professionally and it’s unclear whether his power will translate to a new sport.

Footage of ‘The Predator’ working out his Tyson ahead of his boxing debut recently sparked heavy criticism from John Fury and Derek Chisora.

“Iron Mike” remains convinced that his man can cause a real upset.

“I’m helping Ngannou. I’m learning what he can do. He’s able to do a lot more than I expected,” Tyson recently told the Daily Mail.

“He has what it takes to take down anything that gets in his way.” Once he hits Tyson Fury’s jaw, he will knock him out as well. No one can survive that. »

Fury clearly feels confident he can escape a fight with Ngannou unscathed as he has already signed to face WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk next.

Their undisputed fight is expected to take place on December 23 or January next year – either way, it would be a remarkably quick turnaround for Fury.

However, the 35-year-old recently made a mistake during an interview and fans believe he may have accidentally revealed the true date of his fight with Usyk.

During a conversation with Chisora, ‘Del Boy’ begins by calling Fury the baddest man alive and he responds, “We’re not there yet Derek, but I’ll be the baddest man alive. planet in April…”

Before quickly correcting himself and saying: “Not on April 28, when I beat Ngannou”.

Fury fighting Usyk in Apil makes a lot more sense and suggests he listens to Arum’s concerns about Ngannou’s partnership with Tyson.
