Tyson Fury has given a very disturbing breakdown for Anthony Joshua ahead of his fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
The WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion is set to defend his belts against the former undisputed cruiserweight king on Saturday night at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the WBC champion will be a great observer.
Joshua recently predicted that Deontay Wilder will knock out Fury when they meet on October 9, live on talkSPORT.
Fury reacted to BoxingScene: “I don’t really give it much thought.
“These guys are my rivals, so I hope they want to beat me, of course. I am a one man army. They all want to beat me.
“I am the only undefeated champion left. So it’s like, ‘Oh join me and let’s try to make him lose too.’
“I think he has more on his plate, though, than thinking about what I’m going to do in my fight.
“He has to win his own fight and we will see what happens with his fight on Saturday, because I am not convinced that he is not going to win either.”
Giving his breakdown of the fight, Fury continued: “I hope AJ comes out trying to box a little more because of this new way that he box now and uses his jab.
“He knows he doesn’t have the energy to fight someone under sustained pressure, and he keeps on like that, because he wastes gas after three rounds and then he needs to take three or four rounds.
“So he couldn’t do that against Usyk because Usyk will be on him all the time, making him fight.
“So I hope it’s uncomfortable, maybe a bit like a chess game for a few rounds. And I hope AJ runs out of ideas, really.
“If he doesn’t land on him early and knock him out of there with big hits, then I see that it’s going to be a rough night for AJ and maybe even a stoppage loss …
“I think it’s a real pick ’em fight.
“I can give many reasons why AJ would lose this fight and Usyk would win.
“One is that he is a great southpaw, he is uncomfortable and a skilled boxer.
“I think it hits harder than people think.
“But it’s not about how hard you hit, you just have to keep hitting the target and sooner or later the great bodybuilder will crumble at the seams, like a cheap old cushion, he will shatter, all the pieces they will fall. ” that.
And he’s running out of ideas pretty quickly too, Joshua. It’s a one-trick pony. “
