Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks won Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday, ending the franchise’s 50-year drought in the franchise, thanks to a flawless 50-point, 14-rebound, and five-block performance from the “Greek Freak. “.
As deserving as Milwaukee’s victory in the final was, some on Twitter have wondered aloud if the refereeing could have anything to do with the end result. While it is true that there have been a few questionable calls – just ask Bobby Portis – they didn’t seem to be leaning strongly in favor of one team over the other.
But Scott Foster’s long history with Suns point guard Chris Paul has removed any benefit of the doubt for many observers. With the Suns’ loss on Tuesday, Paul (26 points, five assists, two rebounds) fell to 0-13 in the playoff games when Foster was on the officials squad.

Foster and Paul were even seen chatting ahead of Game 6:
For what it’s worth, Paul and Deandre Ayton each committed five fouls in Phoenix’s 105-98 loss; Mikal Bridges and Devin Booker each committed four faults and Jae Crowder committed three. Conversely, none of the Milwaukee starters committed more than three faults; Khris Middleton led the team with three.
Portis, strangely, may have stopped Paul from making a technical foul with around 10 minutes to go. Paul looked ready to face Foster after officials ruled the ball had gone out of bounds for a Suns player (the appeal was later canceled after consideration):
Here is a sample of Twitter users who photographed Foster before, during and after the game:
So now we can see Scott Foster giving all the calls imaginable to Giannis… who is already the best player in the series without the sometimes blatant help….
