ANKARA (Sputnik) – The TurkStream gas pipeline, which pumps Russian gas to Turkey via the Black Sea, is operating at full capacity, Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said on Tuesday.
“The TurkStream pipeline is 100% working,” Donmez was quoted by Sabah newspaper as saying.
TurkStream is an export gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey via the Black Sea, with a capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. It is intended for the supply of gas to Turkey and beyond to the countries of southern and south-eastern Europe via Turkish territory.
Since the Nord Stream gas pipeline incidents in September, TurkStream has been one of the few pipelines exporting Russian gas to the European market.
