Former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard told “Hannity” on Friday that Joe Biden’s actions must “not go unchecked” and that the Biden administration is driving the wedge between Americans.
TULSI GABBARD: “I think there were so many people across the country, those who voted for Joe Biden, those who didn’t vote for Joe Biden, who had high hopes that he would keep his promise, that he would be the president of all Americans, show respect for those who agreed with him or disagreed with him. And sadly, the opposite is true. Not only did he break his promise, but he’s literally doing the exact opposite, rapidly dragging our country in the wrong direction, tearing us apart, throwing fuel on the flames of division And that’s just, I mean, it really makes me wonder how we we can go through three more years and still come out the other side with the possibility that we can come together again as Americans, as a United States of America.
What I see is people struggling and you can understand how frustrated and even angry people are that our government is failing us. And one of the most disturbing things I see coming out of this administration is how President Joe Biden has his Attorney General targeting Americans as domestic terrorists to be, in quotes, anti-authority. And what’s so extremely dangerous about this, Sean, is that the President of the United States is the authority here in America. And so if our president is targeting Americans for being in anti-authority quotes, what they’re really saying is you’re an enemy of the state if you’re against the president or his policies. That’s the foundation of authoritarianism, and that’s the message that’s being received by people back home is that if you’re going to target me for being against your policies as president, there will be consequences and so should people do? Shut your mouth. Back up and line up. And this is unacceptable in our democracy and must not go unchecked.
