Triggering of the white plan in the hospitals and clinics of North Finistère – Brittany

While the covid, flu and bronchiolitis epidemics are further weakening hospitals lacking resources, and many emergency services will be closed during the holidays, the Brittany Regional Health Agency (ARS) has asked public and private health establishments in the North Finistère territory to activate their white plan, it announced this Friday in a press release.

“The white plan makes it possible to strengthen solidarity between establishments of all statuses (public, private) of all activities of medicine, surgery, Rehabilitation Medicine Service, Home Hospitalization. They can thus optimize the organizations and proceed to the reinforcement of personnel to maintain, or even increase the capacities of reception of the patients ”, specifies the ARS. In addition, “a call for retired health professionals has been launched”.

In fact, the white plan has already been triggered in most public health establishments in North Finistère, such as the Brest-Carhaix CHRU or the Pays de Morlaix hospital center. In Landerneau, the hospital closes its emergency reception service, from 11 p.m. to 8:30 a.m., from Friday December 23 to Monday January 2, 2023. The CGT seized the Brest prosecutor for “endangering others” .
