Tottenham XI vs Leeds: Confirmed squad news, predicted line-up and latest Premier League injuries

Yan Mason has ruled Cristian Romero out of Tottenham’s final game of the season against Leeds on Sunday but revealed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could play.
Both players picked up minor injuries in the loss to Aston Villa a fortnight ago and then missed the abject defeat to Brentford last time out.
Mason has now confirmed that Romero will not be available in the final game of the season, from which Tottenham can secure a place in the Europa Conference League if he improves on Villa’s result and matches Brentford’s.
When asked if either player could feature, Mason replied: “Cristian no. He has an injury – he’s out. Pierre trained yesterday so hopefully he can maybe help us this weekend.
Eric Dier underwent groin surgery on a long-term underlying injury earlier this week, but Mason has suggested the England centre-back could be back in time to take part in Tottenham’s pre-season.
Mason said: “I think so. The hope and expectation is that it will. That’s why the operation was proceeding so quickly.
“I’m not too sure about his injuries,” Mason replied, when asked if Dier had managed the injury for much of the season before she had surgery.
“I was a professional; you have lingering wounds. In the end, it is an injury that needs to be operated on. Right now he sure couldn’t handle it [without surgery]so that option was taken away from us.
