Tottenham will face Sheffield United in the fifth round of the FA Cup after non-league Wrexham lost a dramatic replay

The National League side were seconds away from securing a stunning victory when they first played Sheffield United last month, only to concede deep in stoppage time in front of their home fans .

With the fifth round draw already underway, Spurs knew they would face the replay winners and it was the Blades, having beaten Wrexham 3-1 at Bramall Lane.

Having fallen behind, Wrexham equalized through a Paul Mullin penalty before the striker then had another chance from the spot, this time to put his side ahead. That kick was saved, however, and the hosts continued their FA Cup run as Billy Sharp and Sander Berge scored in injury time to leave Wrexham heartbroken.

Sheffield United are having a great season in the Championship and are well placed to secure a return to the Premier League. They sit second in the table behind Burnley, ten points ahead of Middlesbrough in third with one game less.

Tottenham travel to Sheffield on March 1, with the fifth round taking place midweek. This game will take place three days after Antonio Conte’s side hosted Chelsea in the Premier League, and ahead of a trip to Wolves.
