Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini underwent the first part of a medical examination with Tottenham before joining the Premier League club on a one-season loan.

Gollini passes testing in Italy due to Covid-19 travel restrictions and they will continue on Thursday morning. If he succeeds, the 26-year-old is expected to travel directly to London from Milan to complete the move.

Spurs will borrow from Gollini with an option to buy the Italy international for £ 13million, which will become an obligation if he plays a certain number of games, according to Sky in Italy.

They will also have the option of extending the loan for an additional 12 months.

Tottenham are set to finalize a swap deal with Sevilla which will see them sign the transfer of winger Bryan Gil and Erik Lamela to Spain.
