Wincanton Betting Tips

12:55 p.m.: Queen Annie 9/4 (1pt)

A few of them formed lines together, but that makes it that much harder to back some of these underdogs based on the fact that they didn’t improve the next time around.

Queen Annie should carry 7 pounds lighter than the favorite who won well on debut, but it’s hard to know how good that win was.

The spiked horse placed just a few lengths behind the impressive Alfie’s Princess late last month in his maiden race over hurdles and is set to improve on his second run of the season and second race since a wind operation in August.

Alfie’s Princess has moved up in weight and if there is any improvement from this mare she should provide a good challenge to Kay Tara Tara.

The horse closes in third position after Kay Tara’s victory. Tara isn’t close in ranking with Alfie’s Princess, and with those still getting very little exposure, there’s a good chance she’ll get better value as she steps up her journey.

1:30 p.m.: West End Boy 4/6 (2pts)

West End Boy was a comfortable winner in his last race and Freddie Gingell didn’t need to push him much to win to secure victory.

As a result, he’s up over 10 pounds and sets the standard here in what should be a very cool ride from serial winner Harry Cobden.

3.15: Take your time (to place) 10/11 (2pts)

Cobden and trainer Paul Nicholls are Wincanton’s top jockeys and trainers.

The jockey already has five wins from just 13 races, giving him a 38% success rate here, while the in-form senior trainer has nine wins from 23 runners, equating to a 39% success rate. .

There may not be enough for this horse to win this time around, but his win over Investment Manager was impressive on heavy ground on his Chase debut and it suggests there is more on offer here, albeit with some tough rivals to beat, but it’s a great game to place instead.

Market Rasen Betting Tips

1.05: Take no chances (to place) 4/7 (2pts)

There is no doubt that the top two in the bet will give a great battle to the line.

4/6 on the favorite, The Doyen Chief, could well be justified at the end of this race but it is possible that the yard which works wonders with its hurdles has a good chance with Take No Chances.

She won well on her hurdles debut at 9/4 and even beat Della Casa Lunga with ease in third.

There are certainly signs that this horse can continue to be highly rated, she has also shown promise on the flat behind Dysart Enos in listed company and so has the pace needed in this area.

Triple: don’t take any chances and take your time to position yourself and West End Boy wins 4/1 (1 pt)

This seems like a great bet to ensure a good return on a small stake, perfect for those who don’t want to risk too much before a busy weekend.
