Fox News host Laura Ingraham told viewers on Friday’s ‘Ingraham Angle’ that the government’s pandemic lockdown mandates were ‘deeply damaging’ and called for ‘responsibility’ to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Never again.
LAURA INGRAHAM: We tend, as humans and as Americans who live such hectic lives, to want to get out of crises too quickly. Now what do I mean by that? Isn’t the resilient approach of carrying on a good thing, Laura, a trait to be encouraged rather than crying over spilled milk? Well, when we’re talking, however, about something as deeply damaging as the government’s pandemic lockdown mandates, the answer is yes and no. No. We shouldn’t wallow in all the lingering misery we can’t change, but yes, we need accountability to make sure it never happens again. And that means holding accountable anyone and any organization who recklessly pushed policies that were never based on science and certainly not authorized by our Constitution. Now, almost immediately when the lockdowns began at the federal level and then spread to the states, the Angle was a relentless force to protect the vulnerable and also to reopen government and especially schools.
Now we’ve tried to warn blue states to keep schools close to in-person learning and shut down athletics, remember all gyms, it’s gonna come back to bite them. And we were right. Politically speaking, the race for governor of Virginia, San Francisco School Board knockout Democrats, DFW races earlier this week all point to huge losses to pro-closure Democrats in November. And now, more than two years later, Democrats who have advocated for shutdowns, remote social learning, all that stuff, they’re seeing the fallout for themselves.
