The new trailer further introduces Richter Belmont (Edward Bluemel), the new scion of House Belmont, as he does what his family does best: kill vampires. Night is set during the French Revolution as a new vampire cult rises around a would-be vampire messiah, Erzsebet Báthory (Franka Potente), who has pledged to carry out his bloody and biting orders. To stop him, Richter will need the help of his new friends, some of whom will be long-time familiars. Castlevania Fans.

Netflix’s tweet the promotion for the new trailer mentions the characters Maria, Annette, Olrox, Drolta and Edouard. In the games, Annette is Richter’s lover who will definitely play a bigger role in Night beyond her first appearance as a damsel in distress in Castlevania: Blood Rondo. Maria is Maria Renard, another of Castlevania’There are many heroines who also appeared for the first time in Rondo of blood. Drolta is Drolta Tzuentes, a witch from Castlevania: Bloodlines who has a connection to the villainous vampire of Noctune, Erzsebet Báthory. In Linesthe game Night seems to draw inspiration from his main story, Drolta summons his vampire mistress, Elizabeth Bartley, and together the two attempt to raise Dracula from the dead.

Orlox has seemingly been reimagined from its origins as a low level boss in symphony of the night into a full vampire companion for Richter and his dhampir duels. Edouard, meanwhile, is the completely original character of the show, opera singer and companion of Annette.
