‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ tops Golden Globe nominations – World

Nominated in eight categories, the film “The Banshees of Inisherin” dominated the Golden Globes nominations on Monday, which are trying to get out of the racism, sexism and corruption scandals that have destroyed their prestige.

The gritty Irish comedy’s lead actor, Colin Farrell, and its director, Martin McDonagh, make the shortlist, while the feature will compete for Best Comedy of the Year at the ceremony on January 10 .

With six nominations, the surrealist comedy “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, where Michelle Yeoh portrays a mother washed out by paperwork and daily hassles, suddenly immersed in parallel universes, will be a serious competitor.

The feature film “Babylon” on the golden age of Hollywood and the very intimate “The Fabelmans” by Steven Spielberg also collected five nominations each.
