Soccer is all about Thanksgiving, and now is a great time to start a new soccer-related Thanksgiving tradition: making money in daily fantasy soccer tournaments. This year’s Thursday DFS roster features players from the Bears, Lions, Raiders, Cowboys, Bills and Saints, but due to injuries and illness several big names could be out of action (Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Alvin Kamara , Allen Robinson). It just creates more sleepers of potential value, and we’re happy to take advantage of our FanDuel line choices.

Before getting into the lineup, here are the basic rules for FanDuel contests. The notation is fairly standard, the only notable parameters being Four-point pass TDs and PPR half point.

FanDuel Thanksgiving Picks: DFS Thursday lineup

Budget of $ 60,000, need at least one player from each team

QB Dak Prescott, Cowboys vs. Raiders ($ 8,200)

Prescott is just coming off the worst 4.64 FanDuel points of the season, and he will be without Amari Cooper (COVID) and likely CeeDee Lamb (concussion). We still love him for bouncing off the faltering Raiders defense and giving his home fans a Thanksgiving performance worthy of a post-game turkey leg.

RB D’Andre Swift, Lions vs. Bears ($ 8,000)

Don’t let the Lions’ putrid record overshadow the fact that Swift is playing this season. He has run for at least 130 yards in two straight games and has reached at least 15.0 FanDuel points in five of his last six games. The Bears are a stingy defense, but Swift should still be able to rack up the FD points we’re looking for.

DK range | Start them, sit them down | Lamb update | Ingram update

RB David Montgomery, Bears @ Lions ($ 7,500)

Montgomery has dominated the background work on his return to action, but has yet to handle a full serving of touches. The Bears are favored by three, so the game suggests a favorable scenario in which Montgomery can finally stretch his legs and manage a full serving of bulk.

WR Darnell Mooney, Bear @ Lions ($ 6,800)

Mooney took advantage of Allen Robinson’s absences, literally and figuratively. Mooney has scored three times in the last three games, including a rushed touchdown, and will be well positioned to deliver another big game as the Bears’ upper perimeter option.

WR Michael Gallup, Cowboys vs. Raiders ($ 6,500)

Thursday is a great money-making opportunity for Gallup, as well as the DFS players. With both Cooper and Lamb likely to miss Thursday’s game, Gallup will have the opportunity to serve as the Cowboys’ No.1 option in the passing game. He has traveled over 100 yards with a touchdown three times in his career, and a fourth could be in play there.

WR Emmanuel Sanders, Bills @ Saints ($ 5,800)

Sanders has cooled off considerably from a hot start, but we’re hoping for Lightning in a Bottle. Saints No.1 cornerback Marshon Lattimore can be inconsistent, but he’s also capable of stifling top receivers. If Stefon Diggs finds himself stranded for periods of Thursday night, Sanders has proven he is capable of taking over. We accept the risk-reward profile instead of going for a higher tier, like the one provided with Hunter Renfrow. We’re also hoping that Sanders’ recent cold streak will lead to a drop in ownership.

quarterback | Back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

TE Dalton Schultz, Cowboys vs. Raiders ($ 6,000)

Schultz remains a staple in the Cowboys passing game. His eight targets against the Chiefs were second on the team, and he’s in another heavy workload this week. He’s scored double-digit FanDuel points three times this season, and it’s reasonable to bet on a fourth.

FLEX Mark Ingram, Saints vs. Bills ($ 6,600)

Ingram’s selection has nothing to do with what Jonathan Taylor did to this Bills defense last week. If anything, they will be more amplified to stop the race. What we love about Ingram are the heavy workloads – both on the ground and in the air – that he handles in place of Alvin Kamara. His ranges and targets have increased in each of the past two weeks, and he should be heavily involved again.

quarterback | Back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

D / ST Dallas Cowboys vs. Raiders ($ 4,000)

It’s easy to watch the Cowboys’ offensive struggles last week and dismiss the strong defensive performance they delivered. Meanwhile, the Raiders are struggling across the board, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them crumble further in just a short week.
