Texas newspaper rips Donald Trump’s decision to hold rally in Waco

Waco has become a symbol, “a sort of Alamo, a sanctuary for the Proud Boys, the Three Percenters, the Oath Keepers and other anti-government extremists and conspirators,” the board wrote.

“The militia and the conspirators know exactly what Trump’s visit to Waco symbolizes,” the council said, noting that the Trump campaign insists his visit on the 30th anniversary of the siege is “purely coincidental.” .

The council listed several reasons why people should visit Waco, but not because of Trump.

“Don’t bother with a pompous, intimidating candidate prone to inducement and ‘retribution,'” he said. “His appearance is reason enough to stay home.”
