A Teen Mom fan captured an image from the long-running series episode and posted it to Reddit.

The Redditor captioned the post, “I’m sorry for another one of these posts but UGH…. It’s bad enough that she’s in a booster let alone without even having the chest strap on.”

The screenshot shows five-year-old Ryder sitting in the back of the car of Cheyenne’s ex and his dad, Cory Wharton.

The comment thread quickly filled with concern for Ryder and complaints about Cheyenne, 29, and Cory, 31.

One person wrote: ‘Please tell me they weren’t driving with her in the seat like that!’

“Yuck. If they go down in a wreck with her tied up like that, she’s gonna be badly hurt,” another commented.

A third fan added, “Ughhh I want to like Chey too.”

“I just watched this episode and it was when she was in Cory’s car! So her fault is not hers for that,” another fan replied.

A fourth Redditor wouldn’t let Cheyenne off the hook so easily, as he commented, “That’s fine, but if I wasn’t with my baby daddy, I’d be on top of him about the safety of the car seats. ‘car. I saw Chey not have it properly strapped in. It’s amazing how bad they all are with car seat safety.

“The lack of car seat safety on this show is appalling,” said a fifth.

While another commenter said, “Corey wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at all so not surprised he probably didn’t have his secure.”

As a sixth person added: “She is [five]. I really doubt it’s really big enough for a booster seat only. She should at least be in a high back booster seat, I think. Do better Cory.”

Another fan took a swipe at Cheyenne fiancé Zach Davis, 31, when they wrote: “Booster is the least of this kid’s worries. If I was Chey and made the decision to stay with a * * wipe, I’d be the kid a bulletproof vest.”

The fan is of course referring to the shooting that nearly killed her and her family.

The reality star was in the car with Zach and his two children, Ryder and Ace, when a gunman opened fire on them.

During Tuesday’s all-new episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, fans watched Cheyenne attempt to come to terms with the aftermath of the chilling incident.

After reaching out to 31-year-old Maci Bookout, who also struggled with gun trauma, Cheyenne and her family decided to visit a rage room.

They smashed everything they could before sitting down for a candid conversation, which left the mother-of-two in tears.

The MTV star admitted she struggled with her children after the shooting, especially her eldest son Ryder, whom she feared was struggling more than she let on.

Through tears, she admitted: “I understand it’s going to be fine, but it’s just hard because of the kids. With Ryder, it’s like his innocence was taken. I feel like I worked.

“I feel like this girl keeps getting the end of the stick and it’s her life, it’s my life and as a parent, am I doing everything I can to protect her?”

Then, in a tear-filled confessional, she spoke about being in the car at the time of the shooting.

She recalled: “When I look at what happened to us, I could hear Ace crying. I could hear him. I knew that even if something had happened to him, he was alive but I couldn’t hear Ryder and that made me just kills that I couldn’t hear it.”

Cheyenne continued, “I just needed her to say something – just say something – but she wouldn’t say anything and I can’t get that out of my head. Maybe you took her innocence that day- there and you may have changed me but this little girl is my life and I refuse to let anyone take this from me.”

Cheyenne and Zach previously talked about filming when The Next Chapter premiered.

Fans knew before the episode that the mother-of-two had to undergo surgery for a health issue, but she didn’t elaborate.

Cheyenne confessed, “From the outside, my life looks perfect but to be honest, I haven’t been transparent about what’s really going on.”

She then appeared on camera with Zach by her side, bracing for a dark moment as they shared the disturbing details of the shooting they were involved in.

Her baby daddy kicked things off, sharing with viewers, “We woke up. Ryder had a doctor’s appointment. Ace got his first check. We were just driving around with music playing like a normal car day and Chey looks at me, and she says, ‘what is that?’ and there was a green ray on my face.”

Cheyenne then jumped in, adding, “When I saw the green beam on Zach’s face, I looked past it. I was just in complete, utter shock.”

Zach then spoke directly to viewers, recalling, “I looked at who was holding the gun and it was someone we both knew. Not only is it just that we know him, he came here at Chey’s. There are pictures with him and everyone. suddenly we start to hear gunshots.”

He added: “He hit the car 13 times and we crashed into the back of a Prius. I forced my door open and it was the worst feeling in the world.”

The mum-of-two then began to get emotional, fighting back tears as she said: “It’s a miracle we’re still here and God literally had us covered that day because all the cops that were there said that ‘they didn’t understand how we were all alive.”

The reality star added: “And hearing it over and over again, I just wanted them all to stop saying it because I had to pinch myself to make sure I understood I was alive. “
