Taylor Swift recounted her “nightmare” audition for “Les Miserables” in an interview published Friday by “The Graham Norton Show.”
The “Anti-Hero” singer detailed her experience with actor Eddie Redmayne a decade ago during a screen test for the 2012 film adaptation of the Broadway classic.
The ‘The Good Nurse’ actor was also a guest star on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ as the two reflected on this moment together.
“Basically, I was up for two roles,” Swift said.

“I had the look of Cosette and the vocal range of Éponine, so it was established I was there for a good while but not for long. I wasn’t going to get the role.”
The “Lavendar Haze” singer went on to say that she was asked to come to London to do a final screen test with Redmayne and agreed as Swift admitted she was a big fan of him.
However, she was quickly mortified by the experience.
“When I got there, they put me in a 19th century street urchin costume and said they were going to paint my teeth brown, and I was like, ‘You’re going to do this after I met Eddie Redmayne, right?'” she laughed.
Swift’s “Les Miserables” makeup also included “big circles” under her eyes to make her look like she was “close to death.”

“I thought we were going to sing across from each other…it was so weird because Taylor was dressed all in Éponine, and I was like in my tracksuit. They had us on the floor…singing …and all I knew was that I had garlic breath,” Redmayne laughed.
