Inter have announced that online fan chip maker Socios will be their new main kit sponsor for the 2021-22 season after 26 years with Pirelli written on their chest.
When it comes to recognizable kits over the past decades, few come close to the striped Pirelli jerseys the Serie A club have worn to six Serie A titles and one Champions League triumph. While many other big European clubs have changed their appearance considerably over the years, the Nerazzurri have largely remained the same since the early 90s.
So while this may seem like a trivial change to consider – these are just brands, after all – many fans have nonetheless reacted strongly to the news of Inter’s move.
