The 2022 Gold Cup is fast approaching and fans are eagerly awaiting one of the biggest races of the year at the Cheltenham Festival.

After Al Boum Photo’s back-to-back wins, Minella Indo claimed victory at the showpiece event last year.

The Gold Cup 2022 is coming soon to the Cheltenham Festival

Henry de Bromhead and jockey Jack Kennedy rose to fame in Gloucestershire and will be looking to repeat their success this year.

Rachael Blackmore’s A Plus Tard, who finished runner-up in 2021, is also among the favorites for victory as the festival approaches.

The Gold Cup is the centerpiece of the exciting Cheltenham Race Week which kicks off on Tuesday 15th March.

Gold Cup: Start date and time

The 2022 Cheltenham Festival will culminate with the Gold Cup on Friday 18th March.

The flagship race will start at 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Day four action kicks off at 1:30 p.m., with the Gold Cup being the fourth of seven races on the day.
