You won’t find many, if any, managers like Neil Warnock in your lifetime.
The veteran boss is still going strong at 72 as he eyes a record ninth promotion from the Championship, this time with Middlesbrough.
After Boro’s 7-0 win over non-league minnows Tavistock on Wednesday, a video on social media showed Warnock reaching into his bumbag to give one lucky young fan a signed picture of himself.
There have been viral clips online of Warnock giving his Sheffield United players the hairdryer treatment in the dressing room, but he showed his light-hearted side to the young girl.
The former QPR manager’s actions were hailed by Yannick Bolaise, who has played under him at Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough.
The ex-Everton winger, who is now a free agent, tweeted: “What a guy! #Gaffer last of a dying breed.”
Warnock certainly has a sense of humour, too, as he once said he wanted a minute’s booing around football grounds to mark his death.
Middlesbrough will be looking to improve on a 10th-placed finish in Warnock’s second full season in charge.
Boro will play Plymouth Argyle and Rotherham in pre-season friendlies before their Championship campaign gets underway against Fulham on August 8.

Discussing his side’s dominant display against Tavistock, Warnock said: “It was once again very hot but we didn’t do as much this morning.
“I thought the other night we sometimes looked a bit leggy.
“But it’s all about getting them fit in pre-season, while we’ve also managed to get a couple of lads a bit of a rest and some other lads minutes.”
