Daniel Dubois faces Romanian fighter Bogdan Dinu this weekend

Joyce outclassed his rival for the win, with Dubois falling to his knees in the tenth lap.

It was revealed in the aftermath that ‘Dynamite’ suffered a fractured orbital bone and nerve damage around his left eye.

He has now recovered and will look to rebuild his reputation this weekend when he faces 20 and two Romanian fighters Bogdan Dinu.

Dubois then contemplates a rematch with Joyce or a chance to win the WBA title later that year.

Dubois vs. Dinu: What was said?

Daniel Dubois: “I would love to fight Joe again. I think I could really do something and beat him. I really want it, but time will tell which route the two of us take from here.

“I wasn’t losing a ton and getting sticked, it was a close fight in my opinion, so pinch and go in, really.

“I want to come back to that kind of level fight and beat someone of Joe’s caliber. We will see, I do not know, only time will tell if this can happen. Right now I’m just excited for the comeback.

“I want revenge and make it right, but if I’m going to go after someone else, then, hey, Bogdan is here to do it, isn’t he?”
