Arsenal’s invincible side were one of a kind, with Thierry Henry, Sol Campbell and Patrick Vieria making history… but would Mohamed Salah fit into the Gunners’ squad of 2004?
Arsene Wenger’s men won the Premier League title in the 2003/04 season, not losing a single one of their 38 games, winning the trophy and to this day Arsenal fans laugh at the rest clubs asking themselves “Do you have any gold?”
Would Mohamed Salah join Arsenal’s Invincibles squad in 2004?
The team was on a different level back then, but would Liverpool ace Salah feature in this memorable squad?
We asked this question, you did NOT hesitate to let us know your opinions…
The Egyptian king has enjoyed a successful season with the Reds so far, scoring 16 goals in 20 league appearances and providing nine assists while breaking the record for fastest Liverpool player to reach 100 Premier League goals.
So, in the current exceptional form in which he is, would Salah be part of the invincibles of 2004?
talkSPORT EDGE posed the intriguing question to fans and there were mixed opinions, some were outraged that he wouldn’t have a place in the team and others claimed he would fit into any team…
Let’s take a look at the discussion…
Not in the system, they weren’t playing, unless it was changed to 4-3-3 he wouldn’t go over Henry.

…and so many wins, no losses and a gold PL Trophy that no team has been able to get since.
Salah wouldn’t fit in the 442 imo, the system would have to be changed.
A better question would be if we changed the system to fit Salah, would it still be an invincible season?

In terms of pure quality and capability of course, but in terms of adapting to the system and working within the team concept most likely not. Sometimes the best individual is not the best option one can choose when building a team

Could warm up the bench but that’s debatable
—Aaron Miles (@aaronmiles83) January 20, 2022
Instead of whom. but he would have been on the substitutes bench sorry I forgot no he would not have had Martin keown.

Yeah, to ask for Henry’s autograph
—CoinMarkretCap (@JamezMW) January 20, 2022
He would, as Henry would enter the 2019/20 Liverpool squad. Both masters of their craft, Henry could play either side or top if need be

The invincibles? Who lost in the FA Cup, Champions League and EFL Cup…? Of course he would.
– Ed Case (@EdCase007) January 20, 2022
He would walk in any side past or present
— Iain Davison (@iaindavodavison) January 20, 2022
100% he would. He was one of the best players in Liverpool’s winning Premier League side. A team that was better than the Arsenal team in 2004. 12 draws that year?
