Kacper Kozlowski dethroned Jude Bellingham as the youngest player in European Championship history during Poland’s 1-1 draw with Spain on Saturday night.

The England starlet set the record just six days ago when he came on against Croatia.

Bellingham was 17 years and 349 days old as he made his first appearance in the competition.

But now Kozlowski has trumped him at just 17 years and 246 days old.

In the game itself, Spain faltered for the second time in Group E, following on from their 0-0 opening draw with Sweden.

Poland lost their opener 2-1 to Slovakia.

Alvaro Morata tapped home to give Spain their first goal of the tournament on 25 minutes as he got on the end of a Gerard Moreno pass.

The striker was initially flagged offside and this appeared from first glance to be the correct decision.

However, a VAR review showed that the defender’s back leg in fact kept the striker onside.

The assistant was overruled and the goal was given.

There was a big let-off for Spain on the brink of half-time as Karol Swiderski’s effort rebounded off the woodwork.

Unai Simon made an impressive save to deny Robert Lewandowski on the follow-up and keep the lead intact.

Poland’s talisman wouldn’t stay goalless for long though.

Nine minutes after the break, Kamil Jozwiak floated a ball from the right wing and the veteran striker gave his marker a little shove to gain space before rising highest to head home.

However, just a minute after Poland equalised, Spain were gifted the opportunity to regain their advantage.

Jakub Moder followed through on Moreno in the box and VAR awarded a spot kick.

Remarkably, Moreno fired against the post and Morata lashed the rebound wide, prompting big celebrations from Wojciech Szczesny in the Poland goal.

Spain were frustrated for the remainder of the match and could not find the net despite a couple of goalmouth scrambles.

Sweden’s 1-0 win over Slovakia on Friday means that they currently top Group E on four points, while Slovakia have three, Spain have two and Poland just the one.
