Arsenal have suffered a COVID-19 outbreak which has forced them to cancel their pre-season tour of America the night before they were due to depart.
The Gunners were set to compete in the Florida Cup, which begins this weekend, as part of their preparation for the new season.
But according to The Athletic, a number of first-team and youth player have tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the club to pull out.
The affected players, who remain unnamed, are not suffering from any symptoms.
Arsenal are thought to be working through alternate plans, while the organisers of the Florida Cup also have a logistical nightmare on their hands.
The Gunners were due to face Inter Milan on July 25, in five days’ time, then face the winner of Everton vs Millonarios three days later.
Meanwhile, Football Italia recently claimed Inter were also set to pull out due to concerns over rising cases of the Delta variant in Florida, which has led to increased hospitalisations.
Arsenal started their preparations for the new season in Scotland last week, where they lost 2-1 to Hibernian and drew 2-2 with Rangers.
