The 2023 Solheim Cup begins later this month as Team Europe look to secure three straight wins over rivals Team USA.
The Europeans picked up a narrow 15-13 win at Inverness Club in Ohio in 2021.

This time Europe is led by legend Suzann Pettersen, who made the winning putt as a wildcard at the 2019 edition at Gleneagles before announcing her retirement.
Meanwhile, USA is led by Stacy Lewis, who will become the youngest to hold the role in USA Solheim Cup history.
The last two tournaments have been thrillers, so we’re all set for another thrilling week.

Solheim Cup 2023: The format
There are a total of 28 points up for grabs, and current champions Europe need 14 to claim victory, while the United States needs 14.5.
The competition takes place over three days and is divided into different sections, foursomes, fourballs and singles.
The first two days consist of a mix between foursomes and fourballs and 16 points are up for grabs.
Foursomes see teams of two play alternate strokes while fourballs see each player play their own high-scoring ball to win the hole.
And on the last day, there will be 12 singles matches.
Each player will be involved in the singles, but the captain will choose the pairs.

Solheim Cup 2023: What has been said?
European team captain Pettersen is already very nervous about the start of the action.
She said: “I really feel it’s getting closer because I’m having nightmares about it.
“At night, my head is spinning. So far it’s been a bit at arm’s length, but yeah, as time goes on and the team starts to form, there’s obviously a lot of challenges that I have to face and questions that I have to answer.

“Those are good problems to have but I’m starting to feel it, which is good.
“The one thing I really want is for the players to know that I will support them no matter what, come hell or high water. That’s really important to me. It’s probably my most important role. “
