Serena Williams’ dad ‘King Richard’ claims ex-wife ‘took it all’ and sold his cars amid bitter divorce

SERENA and Venus Willaims’ father, Richard, and his family have accused his estranged wife of “taking it all” and wasting her money ahead of their bitter divorce battle.

The 80-year-old former tennis coach has been embroiled in a long court war with his ex Lakeisha, who forged her signature to transfer his house to her name, according to court documents.

The couple, who met at a tennis match in Miami, married in 2010 and share custody of their son, Dylan, 10, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Richard is still pushing to save his marital property in Palm Beach Gardens, which he says was passed on to Lakeisha for just ten dollars.

Lakeisha then approached “hard lender” David Simon, who lent her $279,000, which she blew on a bankrupt trucking company, according to court documents.

But Richard and his son, Chavoita LeSane, claim issues with his ex arose before they discovered he had lost his home to Lakeisha.

“My first concern, in regards to Lakeisha and the relationship with my dad, I think started when my dad started worrying about the money going missing,” he told the US Sun.

“He would like me to find out why his [social security] the checks have stopped coming to him. What was happening? And it really became very alarming to me.

“I started wondering why his social security checks were even big, financially, so it was just very weird.

“My dad is very astute about his finances. So the social security checks weren’t so good that my dad had to rely on [them] take care of him, month after month.

“I started talking to him and started to realize that I needed to pay more attention to what was going on at home.

“I don’t remember how long it was in the relationship for my dad to start having financial headaches, like, ‘What’s going on with my social security checks?’

“But I just know there were issues where he wasn’t happy with the way things were being handled with his finances.”

‘MISSING MONEY’

In her divorce petition, originally published by the Daily Mail, Richard accused Lakeisha of stealing her social security checks and forging her signature to take possession of vehicles.

Although the family has yet to file a police report or civil action on the matter, Chavoita insists they are seeking legal advice and gathering documents, saying the situation is far from over. .

The US Sun contacted Lakeisha’s attorney for comment, but did not hear back.

“Lakeisha took the Mercedes, she took the bus, she took money, what else was it? The motorbike,” Chavoita continued, shaking her head in disgust.

“There are so many things she stole or forged for him. It’s considered elder abuse.

“We’re just putting it all together, it’s a lot. This whole situation has been frustrating.”

Richard, who has had multiple strokes and has communication issues, is reluctant to hit his ex as they go through the motions legally.

But he told the US Sun he was desperate for a divorce and confirmed his son’s claims that his vehicles were missing and he was concerned about his social security checks.

BOMB DOCUMENTS

“She took it all,” he said. “But I think she’s a really good mum. Junior is in school right now, he’s doing extraordinarily well.”

When asked if he had ever bought her gifts, he replied: “A Porsche, I paid for the Porsche”, adding that he then suspected she was forging his signature to sell his property.

In court documents seen by The US Sun, Richard accuses him of taking his Social Security checks, transferring vehicles into his name and selling them.

Lakeisha admitted in a separate lawsuit with David Simon to selling Richard’s motorhome behind his back by forging his signature on official documents – but says it was only because she and their son Dylan were left starving by him.

Evidence of the theft was revealed in a transcript of testimony she provided in Palm Beach County court.

She admitted changing the name on official documents so her friend Brandy Clark would have power of attorney on the bus, which meant it was much easier for Lakeisha to sell it.

Lakeisha claimed it was because she had no money or food, saying, “He was my son and I wasn’t getting any money, so I had to sell him so I could eat and that my son can eat.”

She admitted the documents were altered on February 8, 2016 without Richard’s permission, but said it was because ‘we had nothing’.

But Richard and his legal team dismissed her complaint and alleged that this was not the first time she had used Brandy Clark to facilitate the sale of Richard’s cars.

Her attorney, Thomas Gruseck, said in documents, “If we review the records of the State of Florida Department of Motor Vehicles, are there any other vehicle transfers involving Brandy Clark?” with Lakeisha admitting she’s “not sure”.

Richard, who is a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, said he could forgive her, but he no longer wanted to be in a relationship with her and now wants the divorce to be finalized.
