South Korea claims North Korea fired unidentified projectile off its east coast
SEOUL, South Korea – South Korea claims North Korea fired an unidentified projectile off its east coast.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said the North Korean projectile flew into waters off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula on Wednesday.
He gave no further details.
The launch came two days after North Korea said it tested a newly developed cruise missile over the weekend. The test suggests that North Korea is pushing to bolster its arsenal of weapons amid a stalemate in nuclear diplomacy between Pyongyang and Washington.
