Indian stock markets are closed today, September 19, due to Ganesh Chaturthi. No negotiations will take place on Dalal Street today. Exchanges will resume on Wednesday September 20.
Indian markets ended Monday’s session lower, only the second decline for the Nifty 50 in the September F&O series. The index, however, managed to remain at the 20,100 level.
After today’s holiday, Indian stock markets will be closed on October 2 next year, which happens to be a Monday due to Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. After this holiday, the next set of holidays will fall on Dusshera on October 24 and then on Diwali days in November.
There will be a customary one-hour Mahurat trading session during Diwali days, the timings of which are yet to be specified.
